The “Request Delete Account” page is a self-service portal where users can permanently remove their profile, personal data, and any associated content from our application. It typically includes a form that collects minimal information (e.g. email address or username) to identify the account to be deleted.Why It’s Important

Data Hygiene: Removing inactive or unwanted accounts reduces storage overhead and security risk by ensuring obsolete data is not retained indefinitely.
How It Works
Submission: The user fills out the deletion form with the required identifier (e.g. email).
Verification: To prevent unauthorized deletions, we send a confirmation link or code to the user’s registered email address.
Processing: Once confirmed, our system queues the account for permanent deletion. All personal data and content linked to that account are wiped from active storage and backups within our stated retention period (e.g. 30 days).
Completion Notification: The user receives a final notification when the deletion process is complete, after which they can no longer log in or recover any data.
